most pledges. Participants raising $100 or more in
pledges will receive a complimentary T-Shirt.
Students seeking to fulfill community service
requirements can participate in the walk and will be
eligible to receive a certificate verifying their
involvement in this fundraiser event for Welcome
House for four hours of community service.
How to get started:
Pledge forms can be picked up from Welcome House or
contact Welcome House to have pledge forms sent to
you. If you wish, you can also collect pledges and
fill out a form the day of the walk.
Every little bit
counts and each donation can bring us one step

For more than
twenty four years,
the Welcome House of South County has provided
emergency shelter, transitional apartments, and a
variety of services to the residents of
Washington
County without alternative
housing options. The Annual Walk for Shelter
represents a major fundraising effort, and allows
South
County residents an
opportunity to acknowledge that the work of Welcome
House is truly important and supported by the
community. The 2010 Walk for Shelter is especially
important as it raises awareness about the lack of
affordable housing in
South
County, as well as
provides financial support that is greatly needed
for Welcome House to meet increasing operating costs
and an increase in demand for services.
