How Welcome House Helps
Helping End Homelessness in South County
TRANSITIONAL HOUSING
Designated for individuals who complete the emergency shelter program.
The program is a one year program.
Welcome House of South County Transitional Housing Program is designated for individuals who complete the Emergency Shelter Program but have not yet secured stable housing outside of Welcome House. The program is intended to be utilized for one year. The requirements for the Transitional Program are:

Be sober for at least 90 days and maintain sobriety throughout the 1 year,

Must have a consistentincome (SSI, SSDI, earned income)

Must have personal goals (long term and short term)

Must be willing to work with a case manager from Welcome House during 1 year.
The main goal of our Transitional Housing Program is to provide supportive services to each client with the end goal being to obtain permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
We have one transitional housing unit for individual. The units are shared coed living. Each person pays a reduced fee for rent based on their income and is required to meet with a case manager weekly. These meetings help us to assist each person with their personal goals and give us the opportunity to assess each person on an individual basis.
