Welcome House of South County has a transitional housing program designated for individuals who complete the emergency shelter program. The program is a one year program. The following are requirements in order to qualify to be in our program:
Must be sober for at least 90 days and maintain sobriety.
Must have an income (SSI, SSDI, employment)-
Must have personal goals (long term and short term)
Must be willing to work with a case manager from Welcome House during their stay.
The main goal of the transitional housing program is to provide supportive services in order for a client to obtain permenant housing and self-sufficiency.
We have two transitional housing units for individual males and females. The units are shared coed living. Each person pays a reduced fee for rent based on their income and and is required to meet with a case manager weekly. These meetings help us to assist each person with their personal goals and give us the opportunity to assess each person on an individual basis.
